Support for families

Occupational Therapy

Occupational therapists (OTs) support children and adolescents to be able to do everything they need to do and everything they want to do. OTs work with the child and their communities to build skills and make adjustments, to allow them to do things more independently.

❋ Fine motor skills

Supporting children to use their hands to engage in drawing, writing, play and every day activities.

❋ Self-care skills

Building independence in toileting, bathing and eating, as well as dressing and grooming.

❋ Play skills

Using play to work towards goals, as well as working on creativity, collaboration, turn taking and pretend play.

❋ Emotional regulation

Providing support to regulate energy levels and emotions, with a special interest in sensory processing and interoceptive awareness.

Parent/caregiver coaching

We offer parent/caregiver coaching in person and via telehealth. This allows for a flexible arrangement, to meet the needs of the child and their family. We offer group programs online as well as individualised support.

❋ 1:1 parent/caregiver coaching

We provide individualised coaching, to match the needs and goals of the family.

❋ Group programs

Previous programs include Tuning in to Kids and Circle of Security. Keep an eye out for programs running in 2026, by registering your interest on the Contact Us page.

❋ Expert Facilitation

Led by experienced therapists, with both professional and personal experience implementing strategies to support the whole family.

❋ A Supportive Space

Our groups prioritise comfort, safety and respect - so you can show up as you are and fully engage in the process.

Next steps:
  • Contact us via email or phone call to talk about what services would be most suitable for you.

  • The initial intake session will involve gathering background information, setting goals and observing your child.

  • Assessments may be recommended, depending on the needs and goals of your child.

  • A therapy plan will be developed to suit the goals and needs of your child and their family unit. This can look like a block of therapy sessions at home or at kinder/school or parent coaching sessions.

  • Regular reviews will take place to measure progress and ensure goals are still relevant.
